I have received many requests for my story on my personal fight with prostate cancer so I am posting my story here. In February 2000 I was diagnosed with Prostate Cancer and began a battle that will continue for the rest of my life to defeat that dreaded foe. I was fortunate. My Doctor caught it early - my PSA was 4.9 (normal is 4.0). The radio-active seed implants and the radiation treatment was successful. Now I am seeing the oncologists once-a-year and my family doctor monitors my PSA. It was 0.4 (the lowest ever) in March, 2005. I hope my story can enlighten and, perhaps, inspire others touched by this dreaded condition to deal with it. Please feel free to contact me if I can be of help to you or a loved one.
